Atlantic Intermediate-skilled Program​

The Intermediate-Skilled Program is made for two types of candidates:

  1. Those with work experience in a type C job that usually requires a secondary (high school) education and/or job-specific training such as butchers or long-haul truck drivers, food servers, etc.
  2. Those who have work experience as:
        • registered Nurse or registered psychiatric nurse (NOC type A 3012)
        • Licensed practical nurses (NOC type B 3233)
        • Nurse’s aid (NOC type C 3413) 
        • Home support worker (NOC type C 4412)

That report is valid for a period of 5 years.

  • At least, a language level of CLB/NCLC 4 in the four abilities (reading, writing, speaking and listening). For a greater clarity, here’s a conversion table from all forms of approved tests to CLB/NCLC 4:

  • You have enough money to support yourself and your family members even if they are not immigrating with you with the only exception of when you are working in Canada under a valid work permit. The amount required varies according to the size of your family.

The amount must be immediately available and accessible to you such as cash, stocks, bonds, cheques, money orders… both when you apply and when your permanent resident visa is issued. If you are married, you can add up the money you have together in order for you to meet the minimum threshold. Bank statement or attestation of funds (with specific requirements) delivered by a financial institution are very common proofs of funds. This said, you cannot count your car, house or jewellery as part of your funds.

  • You have a non-seasonal full-time and permanent job offer in a job of an NOC type 0, A, B or C from a designated employer participating to the AIP. Not to mention the need of meeting all the employment requirements for the job offered.
